Day 01 Arrive Mumbai TBA

Welcome to India- a country where hospitality is a way of life ; to a culture steeped in tradition, a land where history lives in music and dance.

Received at the Mumbai airport in a traditional manner with garlands and transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.

Mumbai once used to be a cluster of seven islands of Colaba, Mumbai, Mazagaon, Old Woman’s island, Wadala, Mahim, Parel, and Matunga Sion, which were the homes of the Koli fishing community. Being situated on the western coast, it became an important trading center and port city after the English King Charles the Second gave it to the East India Company in 1668. The islands were named ‘Bombay’, meaning ‘good bay’ in Portuguese, by the Portuguese. In 1996, it was officially renamed Mumbai, the name being derived Mumbadevi, the goddess of the Kolis.
The city is likely to become the world’s second largest metro by the year 2015.

Day 02 : Mumbai

Today after breakfast you will be taken for full day sightseeing of Mumbai starting with The wonderful Prince of Wales museum is regarded as one of the best museums in the country with art, sculpture, old firearms, and rare coins and a priceless collection of miniature paintings on display . We will then proceed to The Gateway of India is a treasured monument that was built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary for the Delhi Durbar in 1911. It is complete with four turrets and intricate latticework carved into the yellow basalt stone, further drive past a popular sea front, Marine Drive is a winding stretch of road with tall buildings on one side and sea on the other. It was once called the Queen’s Necklace because of its curved shape.The Juhu and Chowpatty Beaches are the most famous beaches that offer beach activities like camel and pony rides, acrobats and, performing monkeys and entertainers together with a splendid view of the coast. Tours continue with visit to Mani Bhawan & Hanging gardens. Mani Bhawan used to be the Mumbai residence of Mahatma Gandhi. one of the important places to visit in Mumbai. It has a reference library with over 2000 books and other of the Mahatma’s belongings. The Hanging Gardens or Ferozeshah Mehta Garden and Kamla Nehru Park are located opposite each other.

Both the gardens provide lovely sunset views over the Arabian Sea. The latter has the famous “Old Woman’s Shoe” that is a delight to all children.

Day : 03 Mumbai / Goa Flight

Morning after relax breakfast departure transfer to airport to board your flight to Goa.

Upon arrival in Goa, you will be well received & transfer to your hotel.
Goa is one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. Also known as ‘the pearl of the east’, it is best known for its beautiful and long palm-fringed beaches, Gothic churches, age-old ruins, coconut groves, intoxicating Feni, and laid back way of life. It is situated on the western coast of the Indian Peninsula, and is separated from Maharashtra by the Terekhol River in the north, Karnataka in the south, the Western Ghats in the east, and the Arabian Sea in the West.

Goa can be divided into four divisions-the Eastern Hills , the Central Valley Lands, the Flood and the Coastal Plains. There are several rivers and streams that flow through this delightful state, and some of the famous lakes in the state are Mayem and Carambolim. Most of the rivers are navigable and of immense economic importance as ores are transported through these rivers to the Mormugao port for export.

Goa was conquered by the Portuguese in 1510 and had been a Portuguese colony for about four centuries. It was finally declared free of Portuguese rule in 1961, fourteen years after independence. Goa was conferred statehood and Daman and Diu was made a separate union territory in 1987.

Day 04 : Goa

After breakfast, you will be taken for sightseeing of Goa
Goa was colony of Portuguese & during their time Christianity was on is rise. There are several Churches made during tenure in Goa. The Basilica of Bom Jesus is a World Heritage Monument and houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier, patron saint of Goa, in an airtight glass coffin inside a silver casket. During your tour of Goa , you will be taken for spice plantation tour with lunch.

Cathedrals of Saint Catherine and that of Saint Francis of Assisi in Goa. The Cathedral of Saint Catherine was completed in 1619 and is the largest Christian church in Asia. Birth the churches are splendid examples of Renaissance architecture. The Se Cathedral is dedicated to St. Catherine, on whose Feast Day Alphonso de Albuquerque conquered Goa. The Church of St. Cajatan was built by an Italian architect in 1651, and was modeled on St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. A theological college is housed here now.
